The music styles featured on "Vector Space" are drum and bass (dnb), minimal dnb, and drumfunk.

Vector Space calls back the earliest various artist EPs on Pinecone Moonshine where the intention was to use a common theme to tie together artists with different Drum and Bass and Drumfunk styles. Vector Space mixes ambient drones and sparse synth sounds with a range of rhythm approaches. Vector Space features musicians from the beginning of Pinecone Moonshine to some new names to the record label.

The opening track by Contact Lost starts with sparse, bleak cinematic sounds layering in kick drums in 170bpm Drum and Style using dub influence. Ibunshi’s pieced-together, scattered Drumfunk rhythm constantly changes and reacts to the bassline melody. Wetman’s arrangement grows slowly, letting the track peacefully focus on ambient sounds. Three minutes into Chant the track drops into a classic Jungle break and reaches a hectic crescendo. Rogue Code by Omni Music’s Eschaton is fast. Sampled breakbeats feel like they are falling forward until letting up for a half-time, broken rhythm.

6Blocc brings a brighter mood repeating a pleasant chord and a rolling Drum and Bass bassline pattern in Pluto. The track changes up between drum kits. DYL uses prominent bass stabs to make a melody and complement the rhythm which feels like it is shifting with delays. Jiva returns to Pinecone Moonshine with the track Orange. Bringing a stuttered sound to his breakbeats and bassline leaves room for space to add layers. TVG and Dot Notation roll out a Drum and Bass track where the breaks fade in and out but keeps the tempo fast.
